Ottmar Hörl: “50 Years of Europa-Park” Large Gold Star from Balthasar Castle Gardens
The originals from the 'Garden of Stars' as an offer to Europa-Park guests
To mark the 50th anniversary of Europa-Park, conceptual artist Ottmar Hörl created the ‘Garden of Stars’ in the historic park of the Balthasar Castle.
As the season comes to a close, you now have the opportunity to purchase the original Hörl stars from the anniversary year for your home:
While the outdoor installation is dismantled during the winter months, you, our valued guests, have the opportunity to purchase the large original sculptures, which are produced using a special centrifugal casting process. They would also make an ideal addition to the smaller models from the Europa-Park special series that were on offer throughout the summer.
As described, these original stars spent the summer with us in the castle park, so they may be showing significant signs of wear and tear. Unfortunately, we are also unable to supply the matching stem stands shown in the photos.
Only while stocks last.
Diameter 45 cm
Colour Gold finish
Material Plastic
Manufacturing Centrifugal casting
Care Clean with lukewarm water; if necessary, use a mild cleaner or soap.
Caution! The golden stars are works of art; they are not toys. Supervise children handling the stars.
Note on outdoor installation
To preserve the colour intensity and golden sheen for as long as possible, we recommend installing the stars in a sheltered location and not exposing them to direct sunlight.

About the artist
Ottmar Hörl – a European by conviction
"The star represents the European idea.
Europe must be lived, defended and advanced by each and every one of us – day after day. European unity is often reduced to political decisions, economic cooperation or common institutions. But Europe is alive thanks to the people who live there – thanks to their attitudes, actions and convictions.
Without the commitment of its citizens, Europe remains an abstract vision."
