Description

The ‘Culinary Rollercoaster Ride’ guarantees a real experience for the palate and the mind

Coq au vin, berry grits, fish and chips, gyros, venison goulash, Irish stew, rösti, paella or smørrebrød - the 'Culinary Rollercoaster Ride' takes you through the gastronomic diversity of the Europa-Park Resort. 66 original recipes from the chefs of Europa-Park and the Europa-Park hotels make this cookbook a real culinary experience. The recipes range from smart starters to hearty main dishes (with and without meat) to sweet desserts and take us on a culinary journey around the world.

To make sure that cooking is fun, there are pages and pages of humorous illustrations by Peter Gaymann, one of Germany's most successful and respected cartoonists. His drawings make the 'Culinary Rollercoaster Ride' a humorous pleasure to read. The famous chickens spin on the carousel, zip around Europa-Park in a gondola, dance Sirtaki or stand upside down in a loop. In many of the designs, Gaymann highlights characteristics of European countries and their cuisine.

Food columnist Hans-Albert Stechl visited the chefs and restaurants at Europa-Park - including our 2 Michelin star restaurant 'Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant' - and put together this colourful menu. The dishes are easy to prepare at home. All the dishes can be recreated in the kitchen with the help of detailed step-by-step instructions and practical tips.

"Europe, this great and unifying vision, must not only reach the political mind, but also the heart and the stomach in order to win people over," is how Gaymann and Stechl describe their guiding principle for the book.
